JJ Barrado aka Maydenfield is a British-Spanish electronic music producer, songwriter, remixer, musician, actor and MC. He has lived in Japan since graduating from university, and speaks Japanese fluently. His artist tracks are mainly melodic bass, future bass and house with Japanese atmospherics. He has also produced music in various genres for movie soundtracks and TV shows, and has close to 100 syncs to date. His imagery is strongly influenced by Japanese architecture, culture, anime and lifetsyle. A strong melodic sentimentality and longing runs right through all of his music.

He has remixed Justin Bieber, Fall Out Boy and Gotch (Asian Kung-fu Generation) among others.
Maydenfield produced the soundtrack to Japanese TV anime "Rusted Armors," including 2 lead single "After The Climb" featuring Tsubasa Sakiyama and "Misdirection" featuring Yuki Kamisato.
JJ has played for, supported, toured, written, recorded and/or produced with various artists including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tetsuya Komuro, TM Revolution, The Gazette, The Brilliant Green, Tommy Heavenly, and Ryudo Uzaki.
His producing, remixing, recording, songwriting and lyric-writing credits include songs for Tetsuya Komuro (various), The Gazette (various), Tommy Heavenly (various), Hase Miho ("Everlasting"), Xai ("Sleep"), DJ Hello Kitty (TBA), DJ Yamato ("Shizuku," "Ashura," Beatmania track "Level One"), X-Factor finalist Ayako Kanroji ("Ai No Ura"), Elixia's debut album ("Secret Me") and follow-up single ("Hope Motion"). He also produced the soundtrack to the TOHO movie "Startup Girls" and the indie film "The Prisoner," in which he was also supporting actor.
JJ has several acting credits. He made his film debut in the major Japanese hit movie "My Darling is a Foreigner," and has appeared in several major movies since then including "Mitsubachi to Enrai," "Nippon Dokuritsu," and a supporting role in indie film "The Prisoner," for which he also produced the filmscore.
JJ is also a regular TV show MC on multiple NHK shows ("Soundscapes of Japan," "JTrip Planner," "Journeys in Japan," "Out & About," "Train Cruise") and a regular football commentator for the Japan national team. He was also stadium announcer for the Seibu Lions baseball team, and Rugby World Cup 2019 announcer at Yokohama Stadium.
He has also narrated many NHK TV shows, and also TV commercials for Sony, Starbucks and Google.
